Experience has shown that at this time of day, you can spot ibex, chamois and other wildlife on the Spielboden. Local guides will lead you to the best spots where, with a bit of luck, you can see the animals up close. You’ll also learn fascinating background information about the habits of these shy creatures.

Early in the morning to the highest point of Saas-Fee? - No problem. The first rays of sunrise are the ideal way to fill up your energy levels - combine the experience with a hearty breakfast in the Allalin revolving restaurant. Please note that the start times may vary.

Have you never fished before? No problem. Our small, private mountain lake at Kreuzboden is the right place to get your first experience of fishing. We will provide you with the fishing equipment. An experienced angler will show you the secrets of fishing.

Insider Tip: Have your catch prepared directly in the Kreuzboden mountain restaurant. (The fish has to be gutted!)

Watch the alpine team making cheese over a wood fire and learn lots of interesting facts about life on the alp. Various types of pure goat's cheese are made with love and dedication under traditional conditions. The alp team will be happy to answer your questions in German, French, Italian or English. You can of course taste and buy cheese and other dairy products during the cheese-making show.

The cows spend the summer on the Triftalp. Of course they are happy to see us. Just like the dairyman in charge, who we can watch making cheese. He will tell us a lot about his hard everyday life on the alp. We meet at the valley station in Saas-Grund and travel together to the intermediate station at Trift, from where it is a 10-minute walk to Triftalp. Here we meet the dairyman or dairywoman and take a short break. We also serve a hearty aperitif with products from the region. We return to Saas-Grund individually by cable car or by foot.
