Bern, 30.03.2022 - As of Friday, 1 April 2022, the last measures in the Covid 19 Special Situation Ordinance will be lifted: the obligation to isolate infected persons and the obligation to wear masks in public transport and health facilities. This marks a return to the normal situation, and the main responsibility for measures to protect the population now lies with the cantons again.
Testing in the Saas Valley

In future, persons travelling internationally who require PCR detection can do so at the medical centre in Saas-Grund by appointment (027 957 11 55) as follows:
- Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10.00 to 11.00 a.m. (PCR & antigen rapid tests).
- Larger groups are requested to make an appointment in good time.
Costs: Rapid antigen test CHF 59.00 | PCR test CHF 159.00
Test centre in Saas-Fee in the waiting room of Parking Terminal B
Due to the current low demand for Covid tests, the Covid test centre at the Saas-Fee car park has closed on Saturday, 05 March 2022.
You can get faster PCR results at the Visp hospital. You can make an appointment by calling 027 604 33 33 or via the website www.hopitalduvalais.ch.
Regulations mountain railways Saas Valley
The mask obligation in the mountain railways will be lifted from 01.04.2022.
Tickets can be bought online. If you pay on site, electronic or contactless payment is preferred.
