The International Snow Training Academy (ISTA), the first-ever international training program for mountain, powder and ski enthusiasts, is officially launched. Over 40 distribution points in Switzerland (including 28 ski resorts) and 15 in Italy’s Aosta Valley and new markets in Austria, Germany, Italy, France and USA will be offering ISTA courses.
ISTA was created by Dominique Perret, the best freerider of the 20th century, in collaboration with 40 international experts to meet a growing need for accident prevention in the mountains.

Good equipment is important, training is vital!
Today it is aimed at the general public. ISTA is the only international training program to be based on a novel method and uses a uniform, standardized language throughout the world.
The program offers a multi-level training from occasional off-piste riders to experienced skiers. Launched and managed by Freerider Dominique Perret, the training program is the concrete answer to the increasing safety requirements of today's alpine sports.
International Conception and Expertise
The courses are currently available in four languages. They have been developed by over 40 specialists from three continents and from all areas, which are aimed at an optimal preparation for driving off the prepared slopes and on risk management:
- Mountain guide,
- Ski instructor,
- Specialists in nutrition,
- Sports psychology, meteorology,
- meteorology and different snow conditions and First Aid
As well as in pedagogy and knowledge transfer. The playful learning method is progressive and accessible to all.
