The treasure hunt in Saas-Fee focuses on local animals. Each of the eight stations is dedicated to an Alpine animal, revealing all kinds of fascinating facts in a fun and entertaining way.
The tourist office in Saas-Fee is the starting point for the 5-kilometre treasure hunt, and provides the treasure map and supporting material. The trail leads to the edge of the village, past the Kalbermatten sports ground and up to the base station of the Felskinn cable car. Each stop along the trail has a wooden box with information on Alpine fauna such as marmots, ibex and eagles. By examining the pictures and listening carefully, treasure hunters will be able to complete the quiz without difficulty. The answers are checked at the end of the trail at the tourist office, where the treasure is also kept.
The barbecue sites close by are perfect for an outdoor picnic.
