Eddie’s Adventure Tips for the Saastal
I'll tell you my favourite activities in the adventure worlds of the Saas Valley.
With the SaastalCard, you and your family can visit the excursion destinations free of charge (except Allin - for this, you need the Metro Plus Ticket).
- From Saas-Fee, take the world’s highest underground funicular, the Metro Alpin, up to Mittelallalin at 3,500 m a.s.l. and visit the world’s highest revolving restaurant. Discover the new VirtuAllalin (VR experience) and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of glaciers and ancient stories.
- At Felskinn, you can enjoy a relaxing game of pétanque while admiring the impressive mountain panorama.
- At Spielboden, watch and feed marmots. Explore the exciting Murmeli Trail with information boards and ride the Murmeli gondolas, where you’ll hear stories about Eddie.
- At Hannig, you’ll find a brand-new playground and the spectacular Glacier Swing. Walk along the “Eddie and the Mountain Weather” themed trail or race back down to Saas-Fee on mountain carts.
- At Kreuzboden, a huge new playground awaits you. There’s also a petting zoo, monster scooters, water games, a beautiful mountain lake for stunning photos, and much more.
- At Hohsaas, enjoy the unique panorama of all 18 four-thousand-metre peaks in the region and learn exciting facts about the mighty mountains along the themed trail.
- At Furggstalden, a brand-new adventure trail with tricky riddles for older children opens in July 2025 – stay tuned!
- At the Mattmark dam, take a leisurely 2.5-hour walk around the lake. Visit the fascinating exhibition about the dam’s history at the visitor centre below the restaurant.
