12 hours race & Mentelity Games

The goal of the Hohsaas 12 hours race is to be a fundraiser for the Mentelity Games, which takes place on 25 March 2023. International ski and snowboard event for people with physical disabilities, which is held in Saas-Grund from 27 March 2023 - 01 April 2023.

Goal of the 12-hour knock-out race is to collect donations for the Mentelity Games. Participation is open to everyone - requirements are: 3 persons per team, the cost for the race is 100 € per person (300 € per team). Each team must also collect at least 500 € for the Mentelity Games. The race is limited to a maximum of 100 teams.

Friday, 24 March 2023
- 2:30 p.m.: Riders briefing at Kreuzboden
- 4 p.m.: Last gondola from Kreuzboden back to the village and last gondola from Kreuzboden up to Hohsaas (for everyone who stays in the mountain hut) 
- 10 - 11 p.m.: All racers take the gondola from Saas Grund to Kreuzboden and are welcome to take an inspection run on the race slope in the dark 
- 11 p.m.: The gondola from Saas Grund to Kreuzboden closes (make sure you’re on time, otherwise you’ll miss the race)
- 11:45 p.m.: All teams gather at Hohsaas for the start

Saturday, 25 March 2023
- 12 a.m.: Start of the race at Hohsaas station
- 12 p.m: Finish of the race and start après ski
- 2 p.m.: Award ceremony and announcement of total crowdfunding amount 
- 4 p.m.: Last gondola going back to the village

At the Mentelity Games, people with physical disabilities from all over the world come together in Hohsaas. At the four-day skiing and snowboarding event, they will be offered a range of courses with coaches, trainers and Paralympic athletes in all snow sports for all levels of ability.
