What would Christmas be without WHAM!?
Join us in the winter of 2026/27 for our WHAM!Walks to the most important locations from the music video shoot - mulled wine and ’80s music included!
On December 3, 1984, the song “Last Christmas” by the pop group Wham!, featuring George Michael, was released and went on to become an international evergreen hit. The music video for the song was filmed right here in Saas-Fee. In addition to the Felskinn Cable Car, the interior shots were filmed at Chalet Tita in the Wildi district, and Chalet Schliechte—also in Wildi—was used for the exterior shots. Wham! and the entire crew stayed at the Hotel Walliserhof—now known as the Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa.

During Advent, decorated windows can be admired in the hamlet of Unter dem Berg in Saas-Grund. With each passing day, the Saas Valley becomes more and more immersed in the Advent and Christmas spirit. It's well worth a visit.

To bring a little cosiness, reflection and joy during this cold season, the forest path from Saas-Fee to Saas-Almagell will be illuminated daily from mid-December to mid-January. On an individual walk along the approximately 3 km long forest path, you can enjoy the lighting and read a Christmas story at the same time.
