Adrenaline

Alpine

Adrenalin Cup with Citizens' Pass inclusive

Complete the venerable Allalin Downhill race and show off your stamina against the impressive backdrop of the glacier.

A total length of 8.5 km and a difference in altitude of 1,700 m – these are the core stats of what is probably the longest glacier downhill race in the world. And this is the challenge that faces participants in the Allalin Downhill discipline. The race begins at the foot of the Allalinhorn, 3,500 metres above sea level; the finishing line is in the village at an altitude of 1,800 metres. The Allalin Downhill is one of the Super Vier – the top four amateur downhill races in Switzerland – and provides maximum downhill enjoyment against a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. The course terrain alternates between steep slopes and short glide sections, with tight corners requiring participants to maintain full control over their skis or board.

The Adrenaline Allalin Downhill starts at the Mittelallalin mountain station. Here you need to go to the “Photopoint”, located on the right when you exit the lift station, and scan your Adrenaline Pass. Once you have taken another snapshot of yourself (which automatically counts towards the Photo Ski Safari discipline) you can set off and enjoy this wonderful ski experience on the kilometre-long, perfectly prepared slopes. When you reach the bottom of the downhill run, just before the village, you will need to scan your ski pass again at the Schneezentrale checkpoint next to the Felskinn valley station to collect you well-earned points.

Please note that it is not necessary to complete the entire run in the tuck position to achieve maximum points. All you need to do is reach the highest of the predetermined “performance zones” (faster than ten minutes: 1,000 points).
